Your participation in our tourism activities helps to support and fund education, research, conservation and paid internships for working students through our Sonoma Coast Watch and Living Classrooms projects.
Our main locaton is in the heart of the Sonoma Coast State Park estuary, at the mouth of the Russian River in Jenner By the Sea, California.
Who We Are:
Our central enthusiast, Suki Waters, is a local Native American descendant, guide and kayak instructor who has been working with the public in outdoor recreation, interpretation and safety since 1979.
Our other guides and affiliates are outdoor enthusiasts and professionals including guides, instructors and interns with their own unique experience and expertise. Most of us have been or are still active in volunteer or professional positions involving Recreation, Safety and Education.
Our interns are future leaders in related outdoor fields.
We also assist state and other agencies in tracking and collecting ecological and wildlife information and statistics
Our goal is to provide and promote ecological education, recreational safety and responsible ecotourism as well as local and global volunteerism through activities that benefit the areas we visit.
We enjoy organizing fund-raisers and educational tours for youth groups, schools, volunteer, veteran, ecological and recreational groups or organizations and outdoor activities for business and other group seminars.
Sponsorship programs are available for education scholarships, volunteer activities, and recreational and educational events.
We look forward to sharing with you our appreciation of all that is natural and wild.
When working or volunteering for us, we provide training in preperation for certification in guiding and water rescue as well as opporties for increasing your skills in outdoor interpretation, education and researsh.
